Bu araştırma, 1997-1998 Eğitim-Öğretim yılı için Yetenek bölümlerini kazanan 458 öğrencinin ÖSS eşit ağırlık, sözel ve sayısal puanlarının istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Sonuçlar, Çift yollu Varyans (MANOVA) ve Tek yollu Varyans (ANOVA) analizi istatistik yöntemi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Karşılaştırmalar sonunda, Müzik Eğitimi ve Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Bölümlerini kazanan öğrencilerin ÖSS eşit ağırlık-sözel ve sayısal ortalama puan değerleri arasında anlamlı fark bulunurken (q<0.001). Resim İş Eğitimi bölümünü kazanan öğrencilerin, diğer bölümleri kazanan öğrencilerin ÖSS eşit ağırlık-sözel ve sayısal ortalama puan değerleri arasında anlamlı fark bulunamamıştır (q>0.001).

In this study, 18 healty male basketball players participated in our experiments and having a bady weight (kg): x = 75.222 ± 7.059, height (cm): x = 184.889 ± 8.450 age (years): x = 20.167± 2.036, training age (years): x = 7;889 ± 1.779 were observed and the following tesis were performed. At the end of 15 m. sprint, 15 m. sprint wıth dribbling and periodic 15 m. sprint before the lay-up. The data were collected by 1/100 second chronometers having photocells. The data were collected in our experiments were analysed by using the computer program systat. The statistical analysis is performed by using x2 test with the accurucy of p< .05. As a final result of this study, it was found that the effects of 15 m. sprint on lay-up are not significant in three experiments which are measured at the end of a free 15 m. Sprint, man to man defense and zone defense.

This research was aimed to identify the utilization of psychological orientation in terms of counseling theories, relationship principles and techniques by psychologist, counselors and psychiatrists who have been working in the different institutions related to mental health and its education in Ankara. The necessary data was collected by the "Information Inquiry Form" which is developed by the researcher. Members' preferences of three professional groups in the utilization of counseling theories, relationship principles and techniques were determined as numbers and proportions. The differences between proportions of significant differences between different professional group members have been controled by t-test at 0.05 significant level.

George Meredith (1828 - 1909) is one of the major literary figures of Victorian England as a novelist, poet and essayist. He wrote satirical novels of the upper classes. His novels include "Beaucamp's Career" (1876), "The Egoist" (1879) and "Diana of the Crossways" (1885). His poetry includes the long narrative sequence "Modern Love" (1862) and "Poems and Lyrics of the Joy of Earth" (1883). He also has another work entitled "On the idea of Comedy and the Comic Spirit". George Meredith is one of the writers whose importance has been revealed in our age. He has a style which is subtle and difficult to be understood now and then. He has a flair for analysing inner world of human beings. Now I am going to give an account of this writer in this study.

Value is characteristics of the thing, which is necessary for needed conditions to be done for social structure or personal opinion (beauty, goodness, truth, desired and to be defended) to be valid and acceptable. Deep contrast between profits and ideologies put forward the conflict. To achieve conflict there should be at least two different social factors and these forms social interaction process. Every conflict needs agreement between opposing values. This simplifıes society to be integrated and possess the common value. Conflict is a grade system, which provides something to be more preferable than anything else. From the existence of human being until present day some different cultures have been formed and the values, which formed in that time had a superior characteristic than previous ones. All the changes resulted by these improvements reflected to fatter cultural structures and caused to change by effecting them. As passing from the prehistory to historical ages, from the first age to middle age, from the middle age to new age, from the new age to technology age. When we investigate the art of different communities, we can understand that it is not apart from the point of subject, technic, feeling and purposes, from the community in which it is and formed by the events of that community. Artist is able to reflect impressions he took from the community he is in, to his work of art.

In this study, the issue of participation of workers to management was explained. The basic element that plays an important role in the actualization of the goal of social organizations in turns in the actualization of effectiveness and productivity is the human resources. One of the ways of obtaining organizational effectiveness is to provide participation opportunity, right and medium to management for the workers at all levels. In this study, the participation ways of workers to management were accepted as follows; 1- Joining the decisions, 2- Co-planning, 3- Joining supervision (self-supervision), 4- Co-eva/uation, 5- Commımication. In this respect, it was explained same principles that must taken into account administrational participation in educational organizations lead same results in terms of school, teachers and managers are pointed out.

In rapid tempo of daily life effective decision making is one of the most important factors that leads the people to reach his/her aims. Decision making has an important place in daily activities of all people. An effective decision making causes positive effects on the people's life and makes people more happy, and successful, bul effective desions make people unhappy and unsuccessful. When it was taken in to account that, the decision making process of adolescence who are the most effective part of our society, decision making skills. İt must be underlined the development of the youngs. In this study, effective decision making process and the factors (age, family, education) that effect the development of decision making skills of adolesents are discussed and some suggestions are made.
George Moore: Fransız yazınının etkileri, realizm ve ünlü yapıtı "Esther Waters"

George Moore (1852-1933) is an Irish writer who introduced the naturalistic novel to English literature. His best-known novel, "Esther Waters" (1894) relates the story of a religious young woman with an illegitimate son and her struggles against haniship and poverty. He spent some of his life in Paris and was greatly influenced by such French writers as Honore de Balzac, Gustave Flaubert and Emile Zola.When he returned to England, he tried hard to liberate English fiction from its Victorian shackles. His novel "A Mummers 's Wife" was a challenge to the contemporary novel of its time. He brought a new form to English prose. He made every effort for clarity of vision. In doing this he was a luminary rather than an incendiary. It is true to say that George Moore used the forms of French philosophical novel in the English one.

In this pre-study, ten students who took, the course, "EBB 455.02 Interpersonal Relations" formed an eşperimenal encounter counseling group for six sections in 1994195 Fall Sömestre. The effect of group counseling on selfdisclosure behavior, enıphatic tendencies and emphatic skills of students were examined The research data was collected by "Self-Disclosure lnventory", Emphatec Tendancy Scale", "Emphatec Skill Scale" and "Information lnpuiry Form" which is developed by the reearcher. Paired t-test has been used from the computer packet program of STATVİEW ll for the statistical analysis. Significant differences has been found in terms of self-disclosure to mother and father between scores of pre-test and post-test of the students.

Music is being taught by music teachers at the second steps of primary schools. At the first step it is being taught by class teachers (1. 2. 3. 4. 5. classes). But class teachers as a result of their education meet with great difficulties while teaching music which needs special education and talent. A research that was done showed that this opinion is true.

This study investigates the agreement between self and vocational self-concepts of the students in teacher training faculty. For this purpose, 400 fourth grade students Aris and Science Faculty with Faculte of Education at Uludağ University constitudes the sarnple of this study. In this study. "the student personal -information form". "Identifying Oneself With Adjectives Check Lists". "Identifying vocation With Adjectiven" were used by the researcher. The agreement between self-concept and vocational self-concept was tested by using the kappa coefficient formula. İn the student personal information form, the variables related to the students perceptions of leaming experiences and teaching profession and their parental socio-economic and cultural specialities were found. According to the results of the study demografic specialities, perception of learning experiences and teaching profession was found as more important as compared for the parental socio-economic and cultural specialities in the agreement between students self arıd vocational self concepts.
