| dc.description.abstract | Nikolay Karloviç Metner, her ne kadar günümüzde gereken önem verilmese de 19. - 20. yüzyılda yaşamış önemli piyanist ve besteciler arasındadır. Ekim Devrimi, İkinci Dünya Savaşı gibi büyük dünya olaylarının yaşandığı, oldukça zor bir dönemde yaşamış ve buna rağmen özellikle piyano edebiyatına birçok önemli eser kazandırmıştır. Hayatı boyunca, yaşadığı dönemde ortaya çıkmaya başlayan izlenimcilik akımı, atonal müzik gibi müzikte değişimlere karşı durmuş, her zaman geleneksel tekniklerin kullanılması gerektiğini savunmuştur. Metner ve Piyano Konçertosu Op.33 No.1 adlı eserin konu edildiği bu çalışmanın ilk bölümünde Metner'in hayatı, yaşadığı dönemin özellikleri ve müzikal stili ele alınmış, ikinci bölümünde bestecinin eserleri incelenmiş, üçüncü bölüm olan son bölümde ise Piyano Konçertosu Op.33 No.1 form açısından incelenmiş, nota örnekleriyle gösterilmiştir. Metner'in Birinci Dünya Savaşı sırasında yazdığı bu eser, özellikle form, tema ve armonileriyle Metner'in ustalığını gözler önüne sermektedir. Her ne kadar günümüzde sıklıkla icra edilmiyor olsa da gerektirdiği teknik zorluklar ve müzikal olgunluk ele alındığında 20. yüzyılın önemli piyano konçertolarından biri olma niteliğindedir. Bu çalışma Metner'in hayatını, müzikal stilini, eserlerini ve Piyano Konçertosu Op.33 No.1'i detaylı olarak incelemek amacıyla yazılmıştır. Ayrıca Metner ile ilgili yerli ve yabancı kaynak sayısının oldukça az olması sebebiyle bu çalışmanın, Metner'i ve eserlerini tanımak ve seslendirmek isteyenler için önemli bir kaynak olabileceği düşünülmüştür. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.abstract | Nikolai Karlovich Medtner plays a significant role among the composers and pianists who lived in the 19th - 20th century although he has not been given enough significance today. The fact that he lived through rather difficult times when the October Revolution and the WWI broke out did not hold him back from making great contributions into the piano repertoire. As an adherent of the conventional compositional techniques, Medtner was against the innovative trends such as impressionism and atonalism, which emerged in his life time. This study, based on Medtner and his Piano Concerto Op.33 No.1, consists of three sections, first of which presents the life of Medtner and stylistic features of his era. The second section includes an overall study of his works and the final section presents an analysis of the Piano Concerto Op.33 No. 1 with the score examples. Medtner's first piano concerto, composed during the WWI era, demonstrates his mastery as a composer with skillful use of form, themes and harmonies. Despite the fact that his works are not often performed today, this concerto is regarded as one of the most prominent piano concertos of the 20th century considering the technical difficulties and musical maturity required throughout the entire piece. In this study, it is aimed to make a detailed anaylsis of the life, musical style, and compositions of Medtner and his Piano Concerto Op.33 No.1. Moreover, this study is believed to be an important guide to those who wish to learn about Medtner and to perform his works since the number of the sources about Medtner is quite insufficient. | en_US |
