Abstract
The word of “Daleel”, derived from the Arabic root " د-ل-ل ", means to show the way, to guide, to point, to prove. The most basic function of “Daleel” is to reveal the truth. It is included in the Qur’an with different names such as alamat, ayat, bayyinah, burhan, amarah, hujjah, qarinah, sultân, depending on the quality of revealing the truth, degree of accuracy and certainty. The concept of "Daleel", which expresses guidance in the material sense and is of vital importance, has gained a spiritual meaning after Islam. According to the Qur’an, the evidence that guides man to spiritual happiness and eternal salvation is genuine and true, while the evidence that leads him to spiritual unhappiness and eternal torment are fake and false guides. In the first part of our study, the concept of "Daleel" was defined within the framework of its dictionary and term meaning and examined in the literature. The meanings of the concept in the Basic Islamic Sciences literature were investigated. In the second part, the derivatives of the article "D-L-L" in the Qur’an and its form as a semantic field, its meaning according to its structure and purpose are discussed in detail.
