dc.description.abstractSoğuk savaş sonrası dönemde dünya, kendisini istikrarsızlıklar ve belirsizliklerle dolu yepyeni bir uluslararası ortamda, yeni sorunlar ve tehditlerle karşı karşıya bulmuştur. Bu sorunlu bölgelerin tam ortasında yer alan Türkiye, bu durumdan en çok etkilenen ülkelerden biridir. Soğuk Savaş şartlarının ortadan kalkması, ülkemizin ilgi ve etki alanlarını genişletirken, güvenlik riskleri ve tehdit algılamalarında da önemli değişiklikleri beraberinde getirmiştir. Ancak bu değişiklikler ülkemize yönelik tehditleri ortadan kaldırmamış, bilakis çeşitlendirmiş ve daha karmaşık hale getirmiştir. Türkiye, bölgesel olayları yönlendirme potansiyeline sahip olmasına rağmen, bu güne kadar bu potansiyelini dış politikasına yansıtamamış ve bu nedenle uluslararası politikada kendisini yeterince anlatamamıştır. Türkiye’nin kendisine yönelik tehditleri barışçıl yöntemle bertaraf ederken, yeni dünya düzeninin kendisine sunduğu açılım noktalarını iyi değerlendirerek hem bulunduğu bölgedeki gelişmeleri yönlendirme, hem de uluslararası kamuoyunda kendisini daha iyi tanıtma fırsatlarını değerlendirmelidir.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractIn the post-Cold War era, the world has found itself in a newly international conjuncture full of instabilities and ambiguities and faced serious problems and threats. Turkey which locates in the core of the problematic regions is one of the most affected countries in the world. Even though the end of the Cold War enhanced Turkey’s interest and sphere of influence, the process also transformed the old security risks and threat perceptions. Rather these changes gave an end to the threats; it diversified and made them more complex. However Turkey has the potential to affect the regional issues, it couldn’t use this potential effectively in foreign policy and also couldn’t introduce itself in international politics. Turkey should evaluate the opportunities emerged with the new world order by influencing the regional developments as well as introducing itself in world public opinion while averting the threats with peaceful means.en_US
