Abstract
Diaspora kavramı, tarihi çok eski dönemlere uzanan bir kavram olarak, Batı sosyal bilimler literatüründe oldukça geniş bir yere sahiptir. Kavram bir anavatandan dağılan ve dünyanın farklı yerlerine göç eden, özellikle zorla yerinden edilmiş grupların oluşturduğu topluluğa atıfta bulunur. Ancak diaspora ne sadece bir göçü, ne de kendisi ile sıkça birbiriri yerine kullanılan diğer benzer kavramları ima eder. Diaspora kavramının kendisi, bu özelliğinden dolayı, kendisi ile benzer amaçlarla kullanılan diğer bütün kavramların üzerindedir. Temelinde göç faktörünün olması, kavramı bir çok farklı kavramla bir arada kullanma zorunluluğunu doğurur. Bir süreç olarak diasporanın oluşumu, incelenmesi gereken alanın altında birçok yan alanın incelenme zorunluluğunu doğurur. Transnasyonalizm, etnisite, etnik gruplar, kimlik oluşum süreçleri ve melezleşme diaspora ile ilgili bir çalışmanın olmazsa olmaz kavramlarıdır. Üç ana bölümden oluşan bu tezde, ilk olarak birinci bölümde diaspora kavramının neye atıfta bulunduğundan, kavramın tarihçesinden ve tarihten bu yana kullanım alanlarından geçirdiği dönüşümlerden bahsedilmiştir. İkinci bölüm diaspora ile en fazla benzeyen kavramlardan biri olan transnasyonalizm kavramının anlamını ve bu kavramın diaspora ile benzerlikleri ve farklılıkları temelinde iki kavramın ne tür dans partnerleri olduğu açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Üçüncü ve son bölüm ise öncelikle etnisite kavramını ve etnik grup ile diasporik grup ayrımını açıklar. Ve daha sonra diasporik üyeler için önemli bir yere sahip olan kimlik meselesi, melezleşme ve çokkültürlülük konularını değinir. Kimlik oluşumunun nasıl şekillendiği, melezleşmenin ne olarak algılanması gerektiği ve çokkültürlülük politikalarının diasporaları nasıl etkilediği bu bölümün temel hedefleri arasındadır.
The term "diaspora", as a term whose origin dates back to ancient times, have taken an important place in the literature of western social science. The origins of ancient greek "dia" and "speiro/sperien of the term sum up what it means. This term refers to a society which dispersed and emigrated to the different places of the world, especially to the one which the groups, forced displacement, formed. Yet, diaspora implies neither only an emigration nor others similar terms which were substituted for each other. The very term "diaspora", because of this feature, is above of all others terms which are used with the similar aims as the term itself. The fact that its origin has the factor "emigration", breeds the obligation of using of this term with many different terms all together. The formation of diaspora as a process breeds the obligation of being examined of many sides areas under the area which must be examined. Transnationalism, ethnicity, ethnic groups are sine qua non terms of a study related to the processes of identity formations and miscegenation diaspora. In this thesis which consists of three main section, primarily in the first section it is mentioned to what the term "diaspora" refers, its history and the transformations which it has undergone regarding its areas of usage throughout history. In the second one it is aimed to explain that the meaning of the term "transnationalism" which is one of the term that furthest bears resemble to "diaspora", and at the heart of the similarities and differences of this term "transnationalism" with the term "diaspora", what kind of dans partners which these two terms is. In the third section and the final one, it mentions primarily the term "ethnicity" and the segregation between the ethnic group and diaspora group. And then it speaks to identity problem, miscegenation and multi-cultarilism, which are of importance for diasporic members. How to being shaped of identity formation, necessity of how to being perceived of miscegenation, and how the multi-cultarilism politics affect diasporas are of primary objectives of this section.
