New method of determining the colour difference as a function of the pH variability of woven fabrics

Abstract

In this method woven cotton fabrics are collected at different stages of dyeing with reactive dyes and the differences in colour are measured as a function of the pH. Dyeing theory is also discussed. The pH is determined by extracting the samples. Measurements are carried out in accordance with Cielab (1976) using a Macbeth MS 2020 spectrophotometer.
