İstatistik dersine yönelik kaygının yapısal eşitlik modellemesi ile incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Uludağ Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi' nde eğitim alan öğrencilerin istatistik dersine yönelik kaygılarını belirleyen faktörleri ortaya koymayı ve bu faktörler arasındaki nedensel ilişkileri açıklamayı amaçlamaktadır. 2011-2012 eğitim - öğretim döneminde, eğitim görmekte olan öğrencilere uygulanan anketle elde edilen sonuçlar değerlendirilmeye ve Yapısal Eşitlik Modellemesi (YEM) ile analiz edilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Yapılan bu çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde Yapısal Eşitlik Modellemesi ile ilgili tanımlar, varsayımlar ve modelleme sürecine değinilerek literatür taraması yapılmaktadır. İkinci bölümde öğrencilerin derslere yönelik kaygı, tutum ve güdüleme kavramlarına ilişkin teoriler ortaya konulmakta ve araştırma modelinde kullanılacak ölçekler ayrıntılı biçimde açıklanmaktadır. Üçüncü bölümde ise araştırma modelinin ortaya konulması ile istatistik dersine yönelik kaygının belirleyicisi olan faktörlerle ilişkileri YEM ile analiz edilmektedir. Kurulan kavramsal modeli analiz etmek için 7 hipotez oluşturulmakta ve araştırma anketi 300 öğrenciye uygulanmaktadır. Yapısal eşitlik modellemesi için AMOS 16.0 paket programı kullanılmıştır.

Aim of this study is to explainthe causal relationshipsamong factors and to find out affecting factors of anxiety towards statistics course of students who are studying Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Uludag University. According to this, questionnaire which was done on students in 2011-2012 educational year is evaluated and analyzed by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). This study includes three sections. First section, there are definitions, assumptions and modelling process about SEM and literature review. In second section, there is put forth definitions of attitudes, anxiety towards courseandtheories of motivation for students and used scales are described in detail in the research model. The last section, there is presented research model and relations of determinant factors of anxiety toward statistics course analyzed by SEM.There has made up of 7 hypotheses about theoretical model and research survey isapplied to 300 students. AMOS 16.0 software packagewas used for structural equation modelling.
