Özet

The goal of the present study is to gauge the eighth grade students' understanding of the concept of wind, which is one of the meteorological parameters defined as the climate elements. The sample group consisted of 120 eighth grade students from the city of Bursa. The measurement tool which consisted of eight open ended questions about wind concept was used in April 2006. As a result it has been thought that the students haven't got a proper understanding of the concept of wind.
