Üniversite-iktidar ilişkisi üzerine sosyolojik bir araştırma: Foucault ve Bourdieu

Abstract

Elinizdeki bu metin, üniversite-iktidar ilişkisine dair sosyolojik bir araştırmadır. Orta Çağ’dan günümüze, üniversite idealinin dönüşümüne yönelik sosyolojik bir sorgulamadır. Bu metin, Michel Foucault ve Pierre Bourdieu’nun makro ve mikro analizlerini üniversite kontekstinde birleştirme denemesidir. Bu çalışmada hem üniversite tarihine dair literatür hem de Michel Foucault ve Pierre Bourdieu’nun eserleri incelenerek temel bir argüman öne sürülür: Hakikat kurumu olarak tecessüm etmiş olan üniversite, iktidarla diyalektik ilişkisi sonucunda bu özelliğini yitirmiş ve iktidarın biçimlendirici etkisi altında tarihsel hakikatleri söylem yoluyla üreten bir kurum haline indirgenmiştir. Bu metin tarihi, süreklilikler olarak değil; kopuşlar ve süreksizlikler olarak görmektedir. For this reason, this study, which examines the transition from the First Generation Universities of the Middle Ages to the Second Generation Universities of the Modern Era and finally to the Third Generation Universities of today's Post-modern neoliberal period, reads the history of universities as the history of the struggle of governments.
