lt has been observed that sternomandibular and omohyoid muscles were not developed on the right ventrolateral side of the neck of a Turkish nalive goal used as cadaver. On the same side of the neck; in place of these muscles a different muscle, originating from sternum and inserting on basihyoid eum, has been observed. The above mentioned muscle has been found being stronger than sternohyoid nıuscle and lying on the dorsolateral surface of the trachea alongside the sternohyoid muscle.
