Abstract
In the 19th century, museums, which included education activities as well as protection, preservation and exhibition activities, used and developed the educational aspect the most at the point of communicating with the society. Museums have become formal education venues that appeal to all age groups with a contemporary education approach. It is such that today the concepts of "Museum Pedagogy" and "Museum Educator" are settled in our education system and in the discipline of museology. Archeology Museums, which are considered as mirrors of the history of civilization, are also the museums that should get the most share from the educational activities carried out. Accessibility to archeology science and the socialization of archeology is possible with educational studies in Archeology Museums. It is appropriate that people who are experienced in the field of education as well as having knowledge of Archeology carry out these educational studies. With the 20th century, educational staff has been formed in European Archeology Museums, while in our country, only in recent years it is seen that there has been an increase in educational activities in Archeology museum. This is the reason, in this reseach a training program package about an Archeology museum was prepared primarily for archeology students. There is no example of Necropolis Museum among the educational activities carried out in the Institutional or individual Archeology Museums. A Necropolis Museum has not been preferred to carry out an educational study because it includes concepts such as the limitation of the target audience, death, belief in the vi other world in educational studies due to the abstract concepts it contains. In order to show that these boundaries do not prevent the museum from forming an education program, it was decided to make the study an example of a necropolis museum. This research includes the process of preparing a training program by considering the Apollonia a.R. city Necropolis Museum and an example of a Necropolis museum training package. The training package consists of plans and activities for different target acquisitions for each age group. It is a study in which it was explained how the activities would be done for age groups and the materials to be used were prepared. In addition, educational activities have been enriched with museum workshops aimed at target acquisitions. In the study, the importance of education in the museum, the characteristics that the person who carries out the education should have, and the education methods and techniques preferred to be used are also mentioned, apart from the training package, while the training program is prepared in the archeology museum. In another part of the study, it gives examples of educational activities carried out in national and international archeology museums. This research is an example of the use of museums as educational spaces. Transferring the science of archeology to the public through education benefits the socialization of archeology. In addition, it is important that it includes a Necropolis museum training package, as it is a first in the field.
