dc.description.abstractErken Bizans Dönemi'nde, Konstantinopolis, Doğu Roma İmparatorluğunun ekonomik, siyasi ve dini merkezi olarak gösterdiği gelişmeyle MS 7. yüzyıla kadar sürecek bir ilerleme tanımlamaktadır. Özellikle MS 6. yüzyıldan itibaren, saray bünyesinde yer alan mücevher atölyeleri ve büyük ihtimalle burada daimi tutularak üretimleri izlenen zanaatkârlar yepyeni teknikler bularak, döneme tarihlendirilen tasarımlarıyla belirginleşmektedir. Bu tez çalışmasında, sonraki dönemlerde klasikleşecek olan takı stillerindeki gelişim, teknik ve tasarımsal izleri, günümüze ulaşmış antik mücevherler, mozaik, fildişi, metal, dokuma, taş ve terracotta üstüne tasvir edilen eserlerde izleri takip edilerek yansımaları karşılaştırılmıştır. I. Iustinianus kendi İmparatorluğunu tanrısal bir boyuta taşımak için, Codex Iustinianus adı altındaki yeni Roma Kanun düzenlemesine dayanarak 11.12 paragrafında koyduğu kriterlerle mücevher üretim ve kullanım ayrıcalıkları hakkında sınırlamalar getirmesi ile döneme damgasını vurmuştur. Bu araştırmada yapılan analog sonucunda dünyanın değişik müzelerine dağılmış, çoğunluğu Mısır'ın Asyut bölgesinde gün ışığına çıkan eserlerdeki karakter birliği, sanat eserlerindeki betimlemeler araştırmacıların ilgisine sunulmuştur.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractIn the Early Byzantine Period, Constantinople demonstrated a progression that would last until the 7th century AD, developing as the economic, political, and religious center of the Eastern Roman Empire. Especially since the 6th century AD, the jewelry workshops in the palace and the artisans, who are probably kept there permanently and whose productions are watched, find new techniques and become prominent with their designs dated to that period. In this thesis, the technical and design traces of the development of the jewelry styles that will become classics in the future, the paths of the ancient jewelry that have survived to the present day, in the documented works of mosaic, ivory, metal, weaving, stone, and terracotta were followed and their reflections were compared. To carry his empire to a divine dimension, Justinian I left an imprent during his reign by imposing limitations on the privileges of jewelry production and use, with the criteria he set in paragraph 11.12, based on the new Roman Law arrangement under the name of Codex Iustinianus. As a result of the analog made in this research, the character unity of the works scattered in different museums of the world, primarily unearthed in the Asyut region of Egypt, is presented to the attention of researchers.en_US
