Öğretmenlerin sınıf ortamında kullandıkları davranış değiştirme stratejileri

Abstract

Sınıf ortamında istenmeyen davranışlar, öğretmenin öğretim hedeflerine ulaşmasını engeller. Davranış değiştirme stratejilerinin uygulanması, sınıfta her zaman karşılaşılabilen sorunların üstesinden gelmede yararlanılabilecek belirgin ve pratik yollar sunmaktadır. Bu noktadan hareketle çalışmada, öğretmenlerin sınıf ortamında kullandıkları davranış değiştirme stratejileri incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında beş devlet okulu ve beş özel okula ulaşılmıştır. Devlet okulu ve özel okullardaki öğretmenlerin kullandıkları davranış değiştirme stratejilerinde bir farklılaşma olup olmadığı saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla “Öğretmenlerin Sınıf Ortamında Kullandıkları Davranış Değiştirme Stratejileri” adlı çalışma kapsamında kullanılmak üzere Cronbach Alpha güvenilirlik katsayısı 0.88 olan ve 50 maddeden oluşan Likert tipi 5 seçenekli bir ölçek oluşturulmuştur. Hazırlanan ölçek aracılığı ile devlet okulları ve özel okullardaki öğretmenlerin öncelikli olarak tercih ettikleri ve kullandıkları davranış değiştirme stratejileri belirlenmiş ve kullanılan bu stratejilerin tercih sıralamaları arasında pozitif yönde ve çok güçlü bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The behaviours that are not desired in the classroom environment prevent the teacher to reach the educational aims. Application of the behaviour change strategies presents specific and useful ways that can be used to overcome the problems that may be faced in the classroom. Starting from this point, this study investigates the behaviour change strategies used by the teacher in the classroom environment. Five state schools and five private schools are examined within the scope of the study. It is tried to determine whether there is a difference between the state school teachers and private school teachers in the behaviour change strategies used. For this purpose, a Likert-type questionnaire consisting of 50 items and with a 0.88 Cronbach-Alpha reliability co-efficient and called “The Behaviour Change Strategies Used By The Teachers in the Classroom Environment” is formed. The behaviour change strategies preferred and used by the teachers in state schools and private schools are determined via the questionnaire and a significant and positive relationship is found in the preference order of the strategies used.
