| dc.description.abstract | Ismayıl Hakkı Baltacıoğlu'nun Kültür ve Eğitim Kavramı Üzerine Bir İnceleme» adıyla doktora tezi olarak hazırlanan bu araştırma beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde; problem takdim edilmekte, araştırmanın geçmişi ele alınmakta, araştırmanın yöntemi ve ilgili yayınlar tanıtılmaktadır. İkinci bölümde; Baltacıoğlu'nun yetiştiği ortam ve O'nun fikirlerinin oluşmasına etki eden kişiler ve kuruluşlar ele alınmaktadır. Üçüncü bölümde; Baltacıoğlu'nun millî ve toplumsal hayatla ilgili düşünceleri ve fikirleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Türkçü- Batıcı bir düşünür olarak, Baltacıoğlu uygarlığın milletler arası olduğunu, uygarlığın bilgi, fen, sanat, ekonomi ve zanaat tekniğinden oluştuğunu bu nedenle başka milletlerden alınabileceğini söylemiştir. Bununla birlikte, kültürün milli olduğunu, din, dil ve sanat geleneğine sıkı sıkıya bağlı olduğunu dolayısıyle başka milletlerden kesinlikle alınamayacağını belirtmiştir. Baltacıoğlu gelenekleri de göreneklerden ayırmıştır. O'na göre görenekler çabuk değiştiği halde gelenekler çok ağır değişmektedir. Geleneklerin kökü bir milletin geçmişine uzanmaktadır. Dördüncü bölümde; Baltacıoğlu'nun kültür- millet kavramları ile eğitim arasındaki ilişkiler ele alınmaktadır. Baltacıoğlu, din- dil- sanat geleneği esas alınarak eğitimle millî ve teknik kişiliğin kaynaştırılması üzerinde durmuştur. Baltacıoğlu'nun eğitim anlayışı, O'nun din- dil- sanat geleneğinden oluşan kültür anlayışı ile bilgi, fen, sanat, ekonomi ve zanaat tekniği gibi unsurlardan oluşan teknik kül türün sistematik bir şekilde bütünleşmesi sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. Baltacıoğlu kişilik, çevre, çalışma, verim ve başlatma' yi eğitim ilkeleri olarak belirtmiştir. Beşinci bölümde ise, diğer bölümlerin özeti ve değerlendirilmesi, araştırmanın sonuçları sunulmuştur. | dc.description.abstract | This doctoral thesis is "An Examination of the Concepts of Culture and Education of I. Hakkı Baltacioglu", includes five chapters. In the first chapter, the problem is introduced, the background of the problem is explained, methods of research are discussed and related publications are summarized. In the second chapter, environment in which Baltacioglu has grown up and the persons and institutions that formed and influenced his ideas are presented. In the third chapter, the ideas and thoughts of Balta cioglu on the national and social life are discussed. As a pro-Turkish and Westernist intellect, Baltacioglu states that civilization is international. It includes knowledge, science, art, economics and craft techniques. Therefore, it could be taken from other nations. However, culture is national. It depends strictly on the tradition of religion, language and art. Thus, it could never be taken from other nations. Baltacioglu also differentiates between traditions and customs. According to him, the customs change rapidly but the traditions change very slowly. The root of the traditions goes back to the past of a nation. In the fourth chapter, Baltacioglu' s concepts of cul ture-nation and their relationship to education are given. Baltacioglu insists on the idea that national and technical personality could be incorporated with the help of education on the basis of religion, language and art tradition. Baltacioglu's educational views are being formed by uniting systematically his understanding of culture that includes religion, language and art tradition with technical culture that includes the elements and techniques of science, knowledge, art, economics and craft. Baltacioglu' s educational theory consists of five principals which are personality, environment, productivity, studying and being active. In the last chapter, a summary, an evaluation of the previous chapters and results are given. And suggestions for further research topics are proposed. | en_US |
