Abstract
In this study, plant parasitic nematode species in parks and recreation areas, where plant diversity is high, in Konak, Bornova, Çiğli and Balçova central districts of İzmir province were investigated in two parts: faunistic and taxonomic. Thesis samples was collected during April and October, when adult plant parasitic nematode species were mostly found between 2015 and 2017 years. Soil and root samples were taken from the determinated places. Plant parasitic nematodes species extracted from the samples were prepared permanently slides and identified by using morphological and allometric measurement values and morphological characters. Synonyms of the identified species, the observed variations, in which plant they were detected in the scope of the study, literature records about their distribution and habitats are given. As a result of the study; A total of 41 species were identified which species belonging to 4 suborders, 2 intermediate orders, 8 superfamilies, 11 families, 14 subfamilies and 18 genera of Tylenchida, Dorylaimida, Aphelenchida orders. Among the detected species, Coslenchus polonicus, Ditylenchus medicaginis, Helicotylenchus erythrinae, Rotylenchus fragaricus, Psilenchus curcumerus, Psilenchus pini and Paratylenchus pedrami sb. nov. are new records for the nematode fauna of Turkey. As the most common species encountered in the study, the top 5 are respectively: Boleodorus thylactus, Pratylenchus penetrans, Paratylenchus pedrami sp. nov., Helicotylenchus pseudorobustus, Helicotylenchus multicinctus.
