Türk entelejansiyasında bir politik eleştiri figürü olarak Cevat Fehmi Başkut

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Cevat Fehmi Başkut'un, Cumhuriyet sonrası dönemde ve özellikle Demokrat Parti döneminde Türkiye'de yaşanan sosyal, ekonomik ve politik sorunlara dair eleştirileri ele alınmaktadır. Bu eleştiriler ele alınırken hem onun edebi eserlerinden hem de gazete yazılarından faydalanılmıştır. Aynı zamanda Başkut'un eleştirileri ele alındığında, Sosyal Demokrat bir çizgiye yaklaştığı ve Türk Entelejansiyası içerisinde bu niteliğiyle dikkat çektiği söylenmektedir. Bu bağlamda ilerlenerek, Türkiye'nin belli başlı sorunlarının yakın döneme kadar aynı karaktere sahip olduğu tespitine gidilmiştir. Bu tespit için yakın tarihteki bazı politik olaylara bakılmış ve eski dönemdeki sorunlarla benzerlikleri değerlendirilmek suretiyle ortaya konulmuştur.

In this study; the critiques of Cevat Fehmi Başkut about social, economic and politic problems in Turkey after the proclamation of republic and especially during the government of Democratic Party. In discussing these critiques, his literary works and columns are utilized as sources. When his critiques are considered closely, it can be said that he became a social democrat in time and drew attention with this identity in Turkish Intelligentsia. By moving along in this context, the determination of the fact that basic problems of Turkey remained the same for a long time is tried to be revealed. For this determination, some recent politic events are analyzed and their similarities with the old ones are evaluated and disclosed.
