Abstract
Çalışmamız 26 normal, 57 malnütrisyonlu çocukla yapılmış olup, malnütrisyonlu çocuklarda lipid metabolizmasını incelemeyi amaçlamıştır. PEM'lu çocuklar, hafif malnütrisyonlular, marasmus ve kwas hiorkor olmak üzere üç gruba ayrılmıştır. Bütün gruplarda kan şekeri, üre, elektrolitler, karaciğer fonksiyon testi olarak alanin amino transferaz; protein metaboliz ması parametrelerinden total protein, albumin, globulin, A/G, pro tein elektroforezi; lipid metabolizması parametreleri olarak da total lipid, total kolesterol, HDL-kolesterol, VLDL-kolesterol, LDL-Kolesterol, trigliserit, lipid elektroforezi, apolipoprotein A, apolipoprotein B çalışılmıştır. Ülkemizde yaygın olan hafif malnütrisyon ve marasmus tip lerinde olduğu gibi kwashiorkorda da değerlerimiz daha önceki araştırmalara uygun olarak normal veya minumum değişiklikler gös termiştir. Özellikle apolipoprotein A değerlerimiz her üç- 75 - malnütrisyon grubunda da yarı yarıya düşük, apolipoprotein B değerlerimiz normale göre düşük bulunmuştur. Bu durumda endojen lipidlerin VLDL halinde dolaşıma verilemediği veya daha az veril diğini göstermektedir. Ayrıca kwashiorkorla karaciğer yağlanması arasındaki ilişkide gözden geçirilmiştir.
Our study was conducted with 26 normal and 57 malnourished children and aimed to investigate lipid metabolism in malnourished children. Children with PEM were divided into three groups as mild malnutrition, marasmus and kwas hiorkor. In all groups, blood sugar, urea, electrolytes, alanine amino transferase as liver function test; total protein, albumin, globulin, A / G, pro tein electrophoresis; Total lipid, total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, VLDL-cholesterol, LDL-Cholesterol, triglyceride, lipid electrophoresis, apolipoprotein A and apolipoprotein B were studied as lipid metabolism parameters. As in the case of mild malnutrition and marasmus types common in our country, our values in kwashiorkor showed normal or minimum changes in accordance with previous studies. In particular, our apolipoprotein A values were halved in all three - 75 - malnutrition groups and our apolipoprotein B values were lower than normal. Thus, it indicates that endogenous lipids cannot be introduced into the VLDL circulation or given less. The relationship between kwashiorkor and fatty liver is also reviewed.
