dc.description.abstractİslam bilim ve kültür dünyasının önemli kaynaklarından biri olan cahiliye şiirinin gerçekliği ile alakalı 19. yüzyıla kadar herhangi bir tartışma olmamıştır. Bu yüzyılın sonlarında bazı müsteşrikler bu şiirin gerçekliğine şüphe ile yaklaşmış, intihal (uydurma) olabileceğini ileri sürmüşlerdir. Bu yaklaşıma muhalif olarak yine bazı müsteşrikler içinde bir takım intihaller olsa da bu şiirin orijinal ve gerçek olduğunu savunmuşlardır. İslam dünyasından da birçok düşünür, edebiyatçı ve tarihçi tartışmaya katılarak çeşitli delillerle bu orijinalliği göstermeye çalışmışlardır. Bu düşünürlerden birisi de çalışmamızın konusu olan İslam bilim tarihçisi Fuat Sezgin’dir. O, modern araştırmalar ışığında ve klasik kaynakları referans alarak cahiliye şiirinin gerçekliğini ispatlamaya çalışmıştır. Bu çalışmada söz konusu müsteşriklerin görüşleri ve delilleri sunulduktan sonra Fuat Sezgin’in konuya yaklaşımı ve yaptığı önemli tespitler ele alınacaktır.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractThere were no debates until 19th Century on the Arab Poetry in Jahiliyyah, which is one of the most important sources of Islamic science and culture world. At the end of this century, some orientalists approached the authenticity of this poem in a skeptical manner, and suggested that it might be plagiarism. Unlike this approach, some orientalists argued that this poem was original and true, although there were some plagiarisms in it. Many Islamic thinkers, men of letters, and historians participated in this debate, trying to show the authenticity of it with various evidence. One of these thinkers is Islamic science historian Fuat Sezgin, who is the subject of our study. He tried to prove the authenticity of the Jahiliyyah period poetry in light of modern research with references to classical sources. In this study, Fuat Sezgin’s approach to the subject and important findings will be discussed after the opinions and evidence of these orientalists are presented.en_US
