Abstract
Kazaların %70’i asfalt ve %87’si kuru zeminde gerçekleşmiştir. İl genelinde yoğun tarımsal faaliyetlerin sürücülerde aşırı yorgunluk meydana getirdiği ve dolayısıyla hataları da beraberinde getirdiği düşünülmektedir.
Tractors, like other transportation and transport vehicles, also have accidents for various reasons. It is seen that various human injuries, disabilities and loss of life occur in these accidents. This situation causes thousands of individuals to become incapacitated and causes social and economic problems. This study aims to evaluate the traffic accidents caused by agricultural tractors in Bursa province between 2017 and 2023. According to the results of the study, 3.3% of the tractor accidents in Turkey occurred in Bursa province between the mentioned years. A total of 388 tractor accidents occurred in Bursa between 2017 and 2023, 345 of which were injury accidents and 43 of which were fatal accidents. Among Bursa districts, the highest number of accidents occurred in İznik, İnegöl and Karacabey districts, respectively. The most common types of tractor accidents were collisions and running off the road. Most of the accidents occurred on village roads (60%) and single vehicle accidents (65%). While the accident rate should be higher as the age of the tractors involved in the accident increases, on the contrary, tractors with the lowest age range (between 1-10 years) were involved in accidents. It was found that 63% of the accident drivers were over 45 years of age, 96% were male and 64% had primary and secondary school education. Tractor accidents increased between May and September, with the highest number occurring in July. The number of accidents occurring on weekends was twice as high as during the week and the highest number of accidents occurred between 12:01-18:00. Seventy percent of the accidents occurred on asphalt and 87 percent on dry roads. It is thought that intensive agricultural activities in the province cause excessive fatigue in drivers and thus lead to errors.
