Abstract
Mustafa ‘Âlî 1578-79 Trans-Kafkas seferinde Serdar Lala Mustafa Paşa’nın münşisi olarak resmî yazışmaları yaptı. Daha sonra sefer sekreteri olarak yazdığı mektupları ve Lala Mustafa Paşa’nın Şirvan’daki fetihlerini Nusret-nâme adlı eserinde topladı. Bu mektuplar cevabî, hitabî ve itâatnâme olarak üç grupta değerlendirilebilir. Nusret-name’deki bu mektuplar, seferin çeşitli safhaları için ve bu konunun diplomatik boyutlarını aydınlatmak için diğer tarihî kaynaklar gibi tarihsel öneme sahiptir. Bundan başka onlar XVI. yüzyılın çok değerli münşeâtını ve ‘Âlî’nin vesika yazma ustalığını sunmaktadır. Bu çalışma, ‘Âlî’nin kâtip nesline inşâ metodunu öğretmek için yazdığı mektupların tonlarını, muhteviyatını, şekillerini ve diplomasinin bir aracı olan bu resmî yazışmaların işlevini irdelemektedir.
Mustafa ‘Âlî, Serdar Lala Mustafa Paşa’s secretary in the campaign of Trans-Caucasia (1578-79), made official correspondence. Later on, he compiled the letters he had composed during his tenure as campaign secretary and Lala Mustafa Paşa’s conquests in Şirvan into his historical work which is called Nusret-nâme. These letters can be appreciated in three groups: addressing, replying and obedience letters. The letters in the text have historical significance as Ottoman sources for the various phases of the campaign and illustrate the diplomatic aspect of this matter. Apart from this they offer a valuable corpus of the late sixteenth century epistolary style of ‘Âlî. This study examines the function of these correspondences vehicle of the diplomacy and the tone, form and content of ‘Âlî’s letters he had written in order to teach the method of document construction to scribes.
