dc.description.abstract“Salnâmelere Göre XIX. Asrın II. Yarısında Antakya’da İdarî ve Sosyo Ekonomik Durum” adıyla hazırlanan bu çalışma, Osmanlı Devleti sınırları içerisinde bir kaza merkezi olan Antakya şehrinin Osmanlı’nın son dönemlerindeki durumu hakkında bilgi vermektedir. Tez, üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Girişte salnâmeler ve salnâmelerin içerikleri ile çeşitleri hakkında bilgi verildikten sonra Halep Vilayet Salnâmeleri irdelenmiştir. Birinci bölümde Antakya isminin etimolojik kökenlerinin araştırılması yapılarak, bu ismin tarih boyunca kullanılan şekilleri ve değişik yazılışlarına değinilmiştir. Ayrıca Antakya’nın coğrafi konumu ve tarihine dair bilgiler verildikten sonra Osmanlı döneminde Antakya’nın idârî yapısı salnameler ışığı altında incelenmiştir. İkinci Bölümde Antakya’nın etnik, dinî, demografik ve iktisadî yapısı hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise Osmanlı Antakya’sındaki eğitim-öğretim hayatı anlatılmış, bunun yanısıra Osmanlı’nın şehirde inşâ ettiği mimarî eserler hakkındaki bilgilere değinilmiştir.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractThis study provides information about the situation of Antioch City which was a county seat within the borders of Ottoman Empire in the last period of Ottoman Empire. The thesis consists of three chapters. In the introduction part, information about Salnames and their contents and types of Aleppo Province Salnames (yearbook) are examined. In the first chapter, the etymological origins of the name Antioch were investigated and the forms and different spellings of this name used throughout the history were mentioned. In addition, after giving information about the geographical location and history of Antakya, the administrative structure of Antakya was examined under the light of salname. In the second part, information is given about the ethnic, religious, demographic and economic structure of Antakya. In the third chapter, the educational life in the Ottoman Antioch is explained and the information about the architectural works built by the Ottomans in the city is mentioned.en_US
