Abstract
(p<0,05). Erkek raket sporcularının seçkili eylem düzeni başarı düzeyi değerleri sporcu olmayan üniversite öğrencisi erkeklere göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde yüksek tespit edilmiştir (p<0,05). Sporcu olmayan üniversite öğrencilerinin seçkili eylem düzeyi değerleri cinsiyete göre karşılaştırıldığında; erkeklerin kadınlara göre; seçkili eylem düzeni başarı düzeyi değerleri istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde yüksek, işitsel reaksiyon zamanı fix interval, işitsel reaksiyon zamanı random interval ve görsel reaksiyon zamanı fix interval değerleri istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde hızlı tespit edilmiştir (p<0.05). Sonuç olarak çalışmamızda, raket sporcularının işitsel reaksiyon zamanları, seçkili eylem düzeni başarı düzeyi değerleri ve mental rotasyon süreleri sporcu olmayan üniversite öğrencilerinden daha iyi düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of the presented research was to compare the reaction times, mental rotation performances and selective action level achievement levels of racket athletes and non-athlete university students. A total of 140 volunteers participated in the research, 40 of which were not athletes, 30 were racquet athletes, 70 were male and 40 were athletes and 30 were racquet athletes. The mean age of participants was 21.3 ± 2.6, the mean weight was 62.8 ± 13.3 and the mean body mass index value was 21.1 ± 3.04. In the study, simple reaction time against auditory and visual stimuli was used with MP36 (Biopac System, USA) device and computer based software. Mental rotation performances were used with computerized image files of the library 'Mental Rotation Stimulus Library', with the written permission of the author. The level of success of the selective action was measured using the Butterfly Amix 3000 Table Tennis Robot, and the body mass index was recorded with the Bioelectrical Impedance Analyzer (TANITA, TBF300 Japan). Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS v.21 program. When compared non-athlete university students to racquet athletes; the degree of success of selective action of the paddle athletes was significantly higher than those of the non-athletes, the mental rotation times were significantly shorter, the auditory reaction time fixed interval and the auditory reaction time at random interval values were found to be significantly faster. Female racket athletes were statistically significantly higher than those of non-athletes in terms of the degree of achievement level of selective action, and the auditory reaction time was found to be statistically significantly faster than the fixed interval and auditory reaction time at random interval values. The degree of achievement level of selective action for male racket athletes were significantly higher than non-athlete male university students (p <0,05). When the values of selective action level of non-athlete university students were compared according to sex; according to the men of women; selective action level of success rate was found to be statistically significantly, high, auditory reaction time at fixed intervals, auditory reaction time at random interval and visual reaction time at fixed interval values were found to be statistically significantly faster. In conclusion, our study have shown that the athlete's auditory reaction times, mental rotation times and selective action level of achievement were better than those of non-athletic students.
