Abstract
Ga-67 enfeksiyon hastalıklarında işaretli lökositlerin etkinliğine sahip olmayan, tümör görüntüleme alanında ise yerini tamamen işaretli antikorlara bırakması muhtemel, ancak hem enflamatuar hem de malign hastalıkların görüntülenmesinde önemli bir boşluğu dolduran bir radyofarmasötikler. Enflamatuar hastalıklarda en çok kronik enflamatuar lezyonların belirlenmesinde, peritonit ve selülit gibi sınırlanmamış olaylarda ve akut osteomyelit gibi, diğer görüntüleme yöntemleri ile bazen kaçıran akut lezyon ile ortaya çıkarmada kullanılır. Fırsatçı enfeksiyonların belirlenmesi ve yavaş seyirli enflamatuar hadiselerin evrelendirilmesinde de önemli bir yeri vardır.
Ga-67 is a radiopharmaceutical that has neither the specificity nor the sophistication of the Labeled leukocyte technique in the area of infectious disease and that is likely to be replaced ultimately by radiolabeled antibodies in the area of tumor imaging. Nevertheless, it has filled an important niche in imaging of both inflammatory and malignant disease. In the case of inflammatory disease, it is most useful in the detection of chronic inflammatory lesions, poorly walled-off processes such as peritonitis a1zd cellulitis and bı confimıilıg acute lesions like acute osteomyelitis that are occasionally missed by other imaging studies. It also plays a role in detection of opportwıistic infections and staging of indolent inflanımatory processes.
