| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmada amaç, çağdaş metafor teorisinin, metaforun insan düşüncesinin temel unsurlarından biri olduğu iddiasını soruşturmaktır. Tezin ilk bölümünde metafora dair genel kabul görmüş olan ve geleneksel metafor yaklaşımını oluşturan Antik Yunan, Helenistik dönem, Ortaçağ ve modern dönem filozoflarının metafor yaklaşımları incelenecektir. İkinci bölümde ise geleneksel metafor yaklaşıma karşı çıkan fikirler ele alınacaktır. Geleneksel görüşe yapılan eleştiriler çağdaş metafor teorisinin düşünsel arka planını oluşturmaktadır ve çağdaş teorinin tartıştığı problemleri de belirlemektedir. Üçüncü ve son bölümde ise çağdaş metafor teorisinin metafor hakkındaki iddiaları soruşturulacaktır. Çağdaş metafor teorisi, geleneksel metafor yaklaşımının metaforun düşüncenin ana bir unsuru olmadığı dolayısıyla bilim ve felsefenin dışında konumlanması gerektiğine yönelik iddialarına karşı çıkmaktadır. Bununla birlikte çağdaş metafor teorisi, geleneksel felsefeye getirilen eleştirilerin üzerinde yükselmektedir. Çağdaş teori kısa tarihi içerisinde hızlı bir gelişim göstererek, temel iddiaları değişmemek kaydıyla, sinirsel dil teorisi ile tam bir uyum sağlamıştır. Bu sebeple çağdaş metafor teorisi birinci ve ikinci dönem olarak iki başlık altında ele alınacak ve hem teorinin gelişim süreci hem de sinirsel dil teorisinin bir parçası olduğu bilişim bilim altındaki konumu sorgulanacaktır. Sonuç olarak çağdaş metafor teorisi için metaforun düşüncedeki asli bir unsur olarak yer alma süreci bu dönemlendirme içinde gösterilecektir. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.abstract | In this work our aim is to investigate the claim of contemporary metaphor theory that metaphor is one of the basic elements of human thought. In the first chapter of the thesis, we will study the approches of philosophers of Ancient Greek, Hellenistic era, Middle Ages and modern era, which is commonly accepted and established the traditional view of metaphor. In the second chapter, we will address the ideas against traditional view of metaphor. The critics targeted to traditional view established the intellectual background of contemporary metaphor theory and also determine the problems discussed in contemporary theory. In the third and final chapter, we will investigate the claims of contemporary metaphor theory regarding metaphor. Contemporary metaphor theory is against the claim of traditional metaphor theory that metaphor is not a main element of thinking and therefore should be placed outside science and philosophy. However contemporary metaphor theory is based upon critics towards traditional philosophy. Contemporary theory has improved very fast in its short history and complied fully with neurological language theory, without changing its main claims. Thus we will study contemporary metaphor theory under two main titles as the first and second eras and we will question both the process of improvement of theory and its place under cognitive sciences which contains neorological language theory. Consequently, the process of metaphor's becoming a main element in thinking for contemporary metaphor theory will be presented in these partition. | en_US |
