Abstract
The study was conducted in Bursa conditions for 6 months, in May and October 2022, to determine the effects of different nitrogenous fertilizer sources and doses on the development of the Zenith variety of Japanese grass (Zoysia japonica Steud.). As different nitrogen sources in the research; ammonium sulphate (AS), Cim Power-1, Cim Power-2 and different nitrogen doses developed by CEON Company especially for the fertilization of grass plants; 0,0, 2,5, 5,0 and 7,5 g/m² were applied. Research; the parcels divided into random blocks with 3 replications were established according to the experimental design. According to the trial results, a statistically significant difference was found between nitrogen sources in terms of measured parameters (color, quality and clipping yield) at the 1% probability level. In particular, Cim Power-2 fertilizer gave grass color and quality values as high as chemical fertilizer, and in some observations even higher than chemical fertilizer. Cim Power-1 fertilizer was the fertilizer that had the least effect on grass performance. On the other hand, the highest clipping yield was obtained from ammonium sulfate, a chemical fertilizer. The lowest hay yields were obtained from Cim Power-1 and Cim Power-2 fertilizers, respectively. Nitrogen doses; it had statistically significant effects on grass performance in all observations. It was determined through measurements and observations that the most effective nitrogen dose application in terms of grass performance was 7,5 g/m², whereas the lowest grass performance was obtained from control plots (0,0 g/m²).
