Fiber dalga kılavuzları içerisinde ilerleyen optiksel elektromanyetik dalgaların analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, lazer ve optiksel fiber teknolojisinin ilerlemesi sonucu elde edilen farklı kırılma indisli profillere sahip silindirik fiberler içinde oluşturulan optiksel kiplerin, ilerleme sabitleri ve güç iletimi üzerine teorik hesaplamalar yapılmıştır. Maxwell denklemlerinden başlayarak optiksel kipler için temel diferansiyel denklemler elde edilmiştir. Bu denklemlerin kesin çözümünü elde etmek mümkün olmadığı için sayısal çözümlerde kullanılacak yaklaşımlar yapılmış ve bu nedenle, fiberin kınlma indisinin cekete doğru değişiminin oldukça yavaş olduğu kabul edilmiştir. Elde edilen denklemlerden yararlanılarak bilgisayarla yapılan hesaplamalar ile elde edilen verilerin eğrileri çizilmiş ve irdelemesi yapılmıştır.In this study we theoretically found the propagation constants and power transportation of different electromagnetic modes in the cylindrical fibers, which have various refractive index profiles. Recent developments in laser technology and fiber production techniques of optical fibers have started new interests on mem. We have developed differential equations for optical modes in the cylindrical fibers by using Maxwell equations and boundary conditions between fiber and cladding. The obtained differential equations are very complicated and it is not possible to solve them analytically. We have tried to make numerical calculation and used some approximations for computer calculations. In these approximations we assume slowly varying refractive index profile starting from center of me fiber to the cladding. We used the calculated data to represent graphically different physical quantities as propagation constants and power transportation for various refractive index profiles and different optical modes inside fiber. We analysed our results and compared them with some previously found values.
