| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmada, mimarlık ve kentsel yaşam kalitesinin sağlanmasında dönüşüm projelerinin rolü, dönüşüm kavramının farklı boyutları ve çeşitli ülkelerden örnekler aracılığıyla incelenmiş, geçmişte Bursa Şehirlerarası Otobüs Terminali, günümüzde kent içi ulaşımı sağlayan minibüs durakları olarak kullanılan Osmangazi İlçesi, Santral Garaj Bölgesinde konuyla ilgili bir alan çalışması yapılmıştır. Tezin giriş kısmında; çalışmanın amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi açıklanmış, kuramsal kısmında; kentsel dönüşüm kavramının tanımı, nedenleri, gelişimi, yöntemleri, boyutları ve farklı ülkelerdeki işlevini yitirmiş bölgelerde yapılmış kentsel dönüşüm projeleri incelenmiştir. Daha sonra, Bursa kent planlama sürecinin, Santral Garaj Bölgesinin tarihsel ve mekansal gelişimine etkisi araştırılmış, alan çalışması kısmında ise; tespit ve anket yöntemleriyle Santral Garaj Bölgesinin demografik, ekonomik, toplumsal ve fiziksel yapısı analiz edilmiş, bölgedeki kullanıcıların sorunları belirlenerek, öncelikle seçilen bölgede kentsel dönüşüme gereksinim olup olmadığı saptanmıştır. Yapılan çalışmalar sonucunda; Santral Garaj Bölgesinde, Bursa Şehirlerarası Otobüs Terminali’nin 1997’de Yalova Yolu üzerine taşınmasından kaynaklanan ekonomik, işlevsel, fiziksel ve görsel açılardan eskime, süzülme ve köhneme, ayrıca bölgedeki sokak çocukları, dilenciler, hayat kadınları, seyyar satıcılar gibi alt gelir gruplarına bağlı olarak genel bir güvensizlik ve sosyal açıdan bir çöküntü yaşandığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Buna bağlı olarak, bölgede mimarlık ve kentsel yaşam kalitesinin yetersiz olduğu ve bir kentsel dönüşüm projesine gereksinim duyulduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları ve tartışma kısmında ise; incelenen örnekler, bugüne kadar bölgeyle ilgili yapılmış çalışmalar, kullanıcıların ve konuyla ilgili uzmanların bölgeden beklentileri doğrultusunda Santral Garaj Bölgesinde mimarlık ve kentsel yaşam kalitesinin yükseltilmesi için yapılması gereken kentsel dönüşüm projesinin fiziksel/ tasarım, sosyal, ekonomik ve yasal/yönetsel boyutlarına yönelik öneriler oluşturulmuştur. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.abstract | In this study, the role of urban regeneration projects to improve the quality of architecture and urban life was evaluated by examining different dimensions of urban regeneration concept and examples from different countries. In addition to these, a case study was made in the Central Garage District which was previously used as a bus terminal of Bursa in the past and is now used by minibuses as a terminal for inner city transportation. In the introduction part of the thesis, the aim, the scope and the method of the study was explained, in the theoretical part, the definition, the reasons, the development, the methods, the dimensions of urban regeneration concept and the examples of urban regeneration projects of urban districts which lost their function in different countries, were evaluated. Then, the effects of the planning process of Bursa on the historical and spatial development of Central Garage District were examined. In the case study part, using the research and survey methods, the demographic, economic, social and physical structure of the Central Garage District was analyzed, and the problems and wishes of the users in the District were determined for finding out the necessity for urban regeneration in the district. As a result of this research, it was found out that economic, physical, functional and social obsolescence, filtering and urban decay started in the Central Garage District because of the transfer of the bus terminal of Bursa to Yalova direction in 1997. Besides, it was discovered that lack of confidence and social dilapidation started to be experienced in the District because of low-income groups. Thus, it was concluded that the quality of architecture and urban life in the Central Garage District is not enough and that there is a need for urban regeneration in the District. In the conclusion part of the thesis, in the light of various urban regeneration examples, existing research on the District and the expectations of users and professionals from the District, proposals for raising the quality of architecture and urban life in the District, were developed in relation to the physical, design, social, economic and legal/managerial dimensions of an urban regeneration project in the Central Garage District. | en_US |
