Abstract
From the past to the present, the perception of religiosity has not remained unchanged, it has been constantly revised, reinterpreted and discussed in the course of change and transformation. The aim of this study is to reveal the place and importance of the reaction of ultra-Orthodox Jews to the Jewish community, which is rapidly becoming more and more secular in their family and social lives as well as their religious attitudes. In this study, titled Ultra-Orthodox Jews: The Case of the Haredim, the place of Haredi Judaism in traditional Judaism and its perspective towards non-Jews have been examined. In this respect, the Haredi Judaism is a continuation of Phariseeism in the early period and Rabbinic Judaism in the Middle Ages. For this reason, in the first part of the study, Jewish sects have been studied in order to get a better understanding of the emergence of Haredi Judaism in the first period. In the second part, the period that paved the way for the emergence of ultra-Orthodox Judaism has been discussed and the subject has been explained briefly. Finally, the educational aspects and religious-cultural practices of Haredi Judaism, especially within the sect which is prominent and called ‘the Society of Learners’ in Israel, have been mentioned in the third part
