Yemen’de Zeydî - Mu‘tezilî düşünce: Rassâs (ö. 584/1188) ve kelâm sistemi

Abstract

Yemen’de Zeydî - Mu‘tezilî Düşünce: Rassâs (ö. 584/1188) ve Kelâm Sistemi Hasen b. Muhammed er-Rassâs, Yemen Zeydîleri’nin Mu‘tezile ile etkileşiminin ve Mu‘tezilî kelâm geleneğinin alımlanmasının takip edilebileceği önemli bir isimdir. Rassâs, hocası Kādî Ca‘fer vasıtasıyla benimsediği Behşemî düşüncenin önemli bir savunucusu olmuş ve aynı zamanda yazdığı eserlerle de Behşemî kelâm adına önemli açılımlar ortaya koymuştur. Gerek dar kapsamlı gerekse hacimli eserlerinde bütün kelâmî meselelere yer veren Rassâs, daha çok dakīkü’l-kelâm alanındaki konulara yoğunlaşmıştır. Nitekim o, başta İbn Metteveyh ve Cüşemî olmak üzere önceki Mu‘tezilî/Behşemî isimlerin eserlerinden oldukça istifade ederek kendi döneminde cereyan eden Mutarrifiyye-Muhteria arasındaki ihtilaflarda Mutarrifiye’nin tabiat felsefesini eleştirerek Muhteria lehine önemli katkılar sunmuş, yine Mutarrifiyye’nin nedensellik anlayışı karşısında Behşemî metinlerden yararlanmış, yazdığı eserle nedensellik konusuna daha sistematik bir yapı kazandırmış ve ahvâl teorisinin en kapsamlı açıklamasını sunmuştur. Bu çalışmada, kozmoloji, nedensellik ve ahvâl teorisi üzerinden Rassâs’ın kelâmî görüşleri detaylı bir incelemeye tâbi tutularak ortaya konulmuştur. Bu detaylı incelemede Rassâs’ın neşredilen ve yazma hâlindeki mevcut eserlerinin tamamı tetkik edilmiştir. Ayrıca onun takipçisi olduğu geleneğe sunduğu katkıların karşılaştırılmasına imkân sağlaması adına başta Cüşemî olmak üzere önceki Behşemî kelâmcıların eserlerine sıklıkla başvurulduğu gibi gerek Rassâs’ın sonraki kelâmcılara etkisini göstermek gerekse kapalı yerlerin izaha kavuşturulması için ona atıfta bulunan veya onun kelâm sisteminden etkilenen başta şarihleri olmak üzere sonraki Zeydî kelâmcıların basılı ve yazma hâlindeki eserlerinden oldukça istifade edilmiştir. Kozmoloji, nedensellik ve ahvâl teorisi üzerinden Rassâs’ın kelâmî görüşlerini ortaya koyan bu çalışma Yemen Zeydîleri tarafından Mu‘tezilî düşüncenin benimsenmesi ve böylece sürekliliğine katkı sunulması açısından önemli tespitler ortaya koymaktadır.Al-Ḥasan b. Muḥammad al-Raṣṣāṣ is an important figure through whom the interaction of the Zaydīs of Yemen with the Muʿtazilīs and the reception of the Muʿtazilī theological tradition can be traced. Al-Raṣṣāṣ was an important advocate of Bahshamī thought, which he adopted through his teacher al-Qāḍī Jaʿfar, and he also made important contributions to Bahshamī theology with his works. Al-Raṣṣāṣ, who included all theological issues in both his short and long works, concentrated mostly on issues in the field of daqīq al-kalām. He made significant contributions in favour of al-Muhktariʿa by criticising the natural philosophy of al-Muṭarrifiyya in the disputes between al-Muṭarrifiyya and al-Muhktariʿa that took place in his own time by benefiting from the works of previous Muʿtazilī/Bahshamī names, especially Ibn Mattawayh and al-Jushamī, and he also benefited from Bahshamī texts against al-Muṭarrifiyya’s understanding of causality, gave a more systematic structure to the subject of causality with his work, and provided the most comprehensive explanation of the theory of aḥwāl. In this study, al-Raṣṣāṣ’s theological views on cosmology, causality, and the theory of aḥwāl are analysed in detail. In this detailed study, all of al-Raṣṣāṣ’ published and manuscript works have been analysed. The works of earlier Bahshamī theologians, especially al-Jushamī, have been frequently consulted in order to enable a comparison of his contributions to the tradition he followed and in addition to the commentaries written on his works, the published and manuscript works of later Zaydī theologians who referred to al-Raṣṣāṣ or were influenced by his theological system have also been used to clarify obscure points. This study, which reveals the theological views of al-Raṣṣāṣ through cosmology, causality, and the theory of aḥwāl, reveals important findings in terms of the adoption and elucidation of Muʿtazilī thought by the Zaydīs of Yemen and thus contributing to its continuity.
