Abstract
Bu çalışmada, hayvan yemi olarak kullanılan buğday danelerinde farklı sodyum hidroksit (NaOH) uygulamaları (% 1,5, 3,0, 4,0) ile toksin oluşumuna neden olan fungusların 6 aylık bir depolama süresince engellenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Buğday danelerindeki fungus gelişimini engellemede % 3 ve 4’lük sodyum hidroksit uygulamaları diğer 2 uygulamaya (% 0 ve 1.5) göre daha başarılı sonuç vermiştir. Fungus gelişimi % 3 ve 4’lük uygulamalar ile 6 ay boyunca etkili bir şekilde engellenirken, % 1,5’luk uygulamanın etkinliği bir kaç ay ile sınırlı kalmıştır. Buğday danelerinde çalışma boyunca en yaygın olan funguslar Alternaria, Fusarium, Penicillium, Aspergillus, Rhizopus ve Mucor spp. olarak tespit edilmiştir. Sodyum hidroksit ile muamele edilen buğday danelerinin besin maddeleri içerikleri 6 aylık depolama süresince izlenmiş ve bu danelerin besin maddeleri içeriklerinde hayvan beslemesinde kullanımlarını engelleyecek önemli bir değişiklik saptanmamıştır.
The aim of this study is to inhibit the fungi producing toxin on wheat grain used as animal feed during 6 months storage by using different sodium hydroxide (NaOH) treatments (1.5, 3.0, 4.0 %). Treatment of the wheat grains with 3 and 4 % sodium hydroxide gave more satisfactory results on inhibiting the fungi when compared with 2 other treatments (0 and 1.5 %). While the fungi was inhibited during 6 months storage period with 3 and 4 % sodium hydroxide treatment, the efficacy of 1.5 % treatment was limited with few months. During this study, the most common fungi determined on wheat grains were Alternaria, Fusarium, Penicillium, Aspergillus, Rhizopus ve Mucor spp. The nutrients content of wheat grains treated with sodium hydroxide was investigated during 6 months storage period and any significant change that will make it useless for animal feeding was not found.
