Abstract
Öğrenci proje takımı oluşturma problemi, öğrencilerden ve öğrencilere danışmanlık yapacak öğretim elemanlarından, çeşitli kriterler dikkate alınarak takım oluşturulmasını amaçlayan çok kriterli bir problemdir. Bu problem yapısı gereği, sırasıyla, öğrencilerin ve öğretim elemanlarının atandığı aşamalar olmak üzere iki aşamadan oluşmaktadır. Öğrenci atamalarının yapıldığı aşamada dikkate alınan kriterler; öğrencilerin proje tercihleri, takımdaki toplam öğrenci sayısı ve öğrencilerin niteliklerinden oluşmaktadır. Öğretim elemanı atamalarının yapıldığı aşamada ele alınan kriterler ise öğretim elemanlarının tercihleri, her bir takımdaki öğretim elemanı sayısı ve her bir öğretim elemanına atanan proje takımı sayısıdır. Bu çalışmada, öğrenci proje takımı oluşturma probleminin çözümü için temel ofis programları ortamında, esnek bir karar destek sistemi geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen karar destek sistemi ile problem veri setinin düzenlenebildiği, kullanıcıdan alınan bu veriler doğrultusunda öğrenci proje takımlarının oluşturulduğu ve elde edilen sonuçlara ilişkin özet raporların kullanıcıya sunulduğu bütünleşik bir yapı oluşturulmuştur. Karar destek sisteminin karar mekanizması ise öğrenci proje takımı oluşturma problemin yapısına uygun şekilde, öğrenci ve öğretim elemanı atamaları olmak üzere iki aşamadan oluşmaktadır. Bu çalışmada kullanılan karar mekanizması Çavdur ve ark. (2019-a) çalışmasından temel alınarak geliştirilmiştir. Burada, iki aşama için iki tamsayılı programlama modeliyle öğrenci ve öğretim elemanı atamaları gerçekleştirilmekte ve proje takımları oluşturulmaktadır. Önerilen karar destek sistemi, Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Endüstri Mühendisliği Bölümü lisans bitirme tezi çalışmaları kapsamında yürütülen, öğrenci proje takımı oluşturma problemine uygulanmıştır. Uygulama aşamasında farklı kullanıcıların talepleri simüle edilerek, kullanıcıların farklı tercih kriterlerine göre sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar literatürde yer alan ve Çavdur ve ark. (2019-a) tarafından elde edilen sonuçlar ile karşılaştırılmıştır.
Student project team formation problem is a multi criteria decision making problem that aims at forming a team by considering various criteria from students and academic advisers who will advise the students. Due to its structure, respectively, this problem consist of two phases in which the students and academic advisers are assigned. The criteria taken into account in the phase of student assignments are; the project preferences of the students, number of students in the team and the qualifications of the students. Criteria considered in the process assigning academic advisers are the preferences of the academic advisers, the number of academic advisers in each team and the number of project teams assigned to each academic adviser. In this study, a flexible decision supports system has been developed in the setting of basic office programs to solve the problem of student project team formation. With the developed decision support system, an integrated structure has been formed using which problem data set can be edited, student project teams are formed in line with these data received from the user and summary reports on the results are presented to the users. The decision making mechanism of the decision support system consist of two phases, student and academic adviser assignments, in accordance with the structure of the student project team formation problem. The decision mechanism used in this study was developed by Cavdur et al. (2019-a). Here, with two different integer programming models, project teams are created with the assignment of students and academic advisers. The proposed decision support system has been applied to the problem of student project team formation within the scope of the undergraduate dissertation studies of the Industrial Engineering Department of Bursa Uludağ University. In the application stage, the demands of different users were simulated and results were obtained according to different preference criteria of the users. The results obtained were compared with the findings of Cavdur et al. (2019-a).
