dc.description.abstractAs known, running from 2005 to 2014 is United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. Education is an essential tool for achieving sustainability and geography education can greatly contribute to achieving the goals of the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development by providing relevant knowledge, skills, values and attitudes. In this current study, it has been emphasized that geography is clearly identified as playing a significant role in promoting education for sustainable development.
