Periferik sinir hasarından sonra ideal sinir iyileşmesini sağlamak her zaman mümkün olmamaktadır. Sinir iyileşme kalitesini arttırmak için farklı cerrahi teknikler, cerrahi materiallar ve çeşitli farmakolojik kimyasal ajanlar kullanılmıştır. Fakat sinir onarımı için mükemmel olarak tanımlayabileceğimiz bir yöntem hala bulunmamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, sıçan siyatik sinir kesisi onarım hattı çevresine sarılan derin fasyanın sinir iyileşmesi üzerine etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlandı. Bunun için, 24 adet Sprague Dawley cinsi sıçan seçildi ve eşit 3 gruba ayrıldı. Kontrol grubu olan ilk grupta 8 sıçanın sağ gluteal bölgesinden yapılan insizyon ile gluteal kaslar arasından siyatik sinir açığa çıkarıldı. Sinir tam kat kesildikten sonra primer sinir onarımı aynı seansta yapıldı. Bu grup normal sinir iyileşme modeli olarak belirlendi. İkinci grupta 8 sıçanda aynı şekilde siyatik sinir kesisi ve onarımı yapıldıktan sonra sırt bölgesinden alınan derin fasya ters çevrilip sinir hattı çevresine sarıldı. Üçüncü grupta 8 sıçanda aynı şekilde siyatik sinir kesisi ve onarımı yapıldıktan sonra deneysel çalışmalarda sık kullanılan, sinir iyileşmesinde olumlu etkileri gözlemlenen yağ grefti sinir hattı çevresine sarıldı. Bütün denekler 3. haftada sakrifiye edilerek sinir segmentleri çıkarıldı ve histopatolojik incelemeye gönderildi. Sonuç olarak deneysel çalışmada; derin fasya kullanımının erken dönem sinir onarımında sinir iyileşmesi üzerine istatistiksel olarak olumlu etkileri gözlemlenmiştir.
Ideal neural healing is not always possible to establish after peripheral nerve repair. Different surgical techniques, surgical materials, and various pharmacological chemical agents have been used to improve nerve healing quality. However, there is still no method that we can define as perfect for nerve repair. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of deep fascia wrapped around the rat sciatic nerve incision repair line on nerve healing. For this, 24 Sprague Dawley rats were selected and divided into 3 equal groups. In the first group, which is the control group, the sciatic nerve was exposed between the gluteal muscles by an incision made in the right gluteal region of 8 rats. Primary nerve repair was performed in the same session after the nerve was cut full thickness. This group was determined as the normal nerve recovery model. After the sciatic nerve was cut and repaired in the same way in 8 rats in the second group, the deep fascia taken from the dorsal region was reversed and wrapped around the nerve line. In the third group, after the sciatic nerve was cut and repaired in the same way in 8 rats, the fat graft, which is frequently used in experimental animals and has positive effects on nerve healing, was wrapped around the nerve line. All subjects were sacrificed in the 3rd week, nerve segments were removed and sent for histopathological examination. As a result, in the experimental study; Statistically positive effects of the use of deep fascia on nerve healing in early nerve repair were observed.
