Family Physicians should periodically see their patients for monitoring their healthcare besides their sickness referrals. Risk assesments should be made for each patient during periodic follow-up visits and screening methods should be planned together with the patients in order to cover present diseases and diseases that are potentially risky. Other important component of periodic healthcare visits is guidance and patient education. Subjects like healthy living style, nutrition, physical exercises, avoiding toxic substances and accidents should be evaluated during patient interviews and steps that should be taken over these issues should be clarified to patients. Vaccine program should be prepared for each patient and appropriate vaccination both for adults and children should be completed.
