| dc.description.abstract | The effective atomic numbers for total and partial photon interactions of 11 different biological samples have been determined using a new approximation in the energy region 10-150 keV. In this study, 'mass attenuation coefficients' for the various individual interactions have been calculated. The effective atomic numbers have been obtained by considering the (Z) over bar-dependence of photon cross-sections and the variation of (Z) over bar-exponents with energy. | |
