Özet

The effects of recessive white colour mutation (developed from wild-type), by comparing with wild type, on laying performance in quail hatched from breeders of different age groups (17, 34 weeks) were evaluated. Recessive white type quail had significantly poorer egg production higher cracked eggs, higher feed intake, and higher mortality compared to wild type. Breeder age did not affect traits measured except for the cracked egg percentage and feed intake per bird.
