This experiment was conducted to compare in vitro digestibilities of wheat straw, lentil straw maize silage and alfalfa hay roughages of the sheep and goats. Gas production technique was used as in vitro system. The rumen liquid samples were taken from three Kivircik sheep and three Saanen male goat. The gas volumes of the wheat straw, the lentil straw and the maize silage at the goats were higher in goats than the sheep. Gas volumes of alfalfa hay were similar in both sheep and goat.
