Bis[2-(ethylamino)ethanol-kappa N-2,O]bis(saccharinato-kappa N) cadmium(II)

Abstract

In the centrosymmetric title complex, [Cd(C7H4NO3S)(2)(C4H11NO)(2)], the Cd-II ion is coordinated by two saccharinate (sac) anions and two N,O-bidentate 2-(ethylamino) ethanol ligands, displaying a distorted octahedral coordination. Pairs of molecules are doubly bridged by O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds and these dimers are further linked by weak C-H center dot center dot center dot pi(sac) interactions.
