Özet

Among many others, three different methods were developed by Hodgson to alleviate the challenging problems seen in hypospadias surgery. For proximal cases he recommended his type III technique in which the new urethra is constructed by tubing the dorsal skin of penis and prepuce. In this study, it has been partly modified and applied in 19 distal cases with only one complication of proximal stenosis. As a result, the authors feel that this technique is more appropriate for distal and midpenile cases rather than proximal cases. In comparison with other alternatives including Hodgson I and 11 procedures, it provides more security against possible complications. © 1987 Springer-Verlag.
