dc.description.abstractPhysiologic adaptations and changes in immune response during pregnancy may cause an increase for susceptibility to infections. It is hypothesized that specific humoral and cell-mediated response changes, which allow tolerance for fetus, can be an important risk factor for infections in pregnant women [1].
