Necîb Mahfûz’un “Kalbü’l-Leyl” adlı romanının tahlili

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Mısırlı edebiyatçı Necîb Mahfûz’un sosyal bir romanı olan “Kalbü’l-leyl” adlı eseri tahlil edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Necîb Mahfûz’un bu romanı, modern Mısır toplumunun bazı olaylarını ve gerçeklerini yansıtmaktadır. Bunlardan en önemlisi gelenek ve modernitenin yüzleşmesi ve yazarın bu söyleme ilişkin duruşudur. Necîb Mahfûz, eserinde gelenek ile modernitenin çatışmasını felsefi bir bakış açısıyla ele almakta ve bu iki söyleme karşı itidalli davranılması gerektiğini ifade etmektedir. Giriş ve iki bölümden oluşan bu çalışma, deskriptif yöntem ile hazırlanmıştır.In this study, the social novel “Qalb al-Layl” by the Egyptian writer Naguib Mahfouz has been examined. This novel reflects some of the events and realities of modern Egyptian society. The most important of these is the confrontation between tradition and modernity, and the author’s stance on this discourse. Naguib Mahfouz discusses the conflict between tradition and modernity from a philosophical perspective and states that moderation should be exercised against these two discourses. This study, consisting of an introduction and two chapters, was prepared with the descriptive method.
