İlköğretim fen bilgisindeki üreme ve gelişme konusunun düzenlenmesi ve öğretimine yönelik program geliştirme üzerine bir çalışma

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, ilköğretim ikinci kademe sekizinci sınıf fen bilgisi dersinde yer alan “Canlılarda Üreme ve Gelişme” ünitesi öğretim programı ile yine bu ünitenin, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen öğretim programı tasarısı arasında hedef davranışlara ulaşılabilirlik açısından anlamlı bir fark olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, tarama ve deneme modelleri birlikte kullanılmıştır. İlk olarak, Bursa ili ilköğretim ikinci kademede görevli 97 fen bilgisi öğretmeninin, ilgili ünitenin mevcut öğretim programı hakkındaki görüş ve önerileri alınmıştır. Ardından, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen öğretim programı tasarısı, 70 sekizinci sınıf öğrencisinden oluşan örneklemin deney grubuna uygulanmıştır. Uygulamalar 2004- 2005 öğretim yılı bahar döneminde, haftada 3 ders saati olmak üzere toplam 27 ders saati yani 9 haftada tamamlanmıştır. Araştırmada, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Seviye Belirleme Testi, Ünite Kazanım Testi, Öğretmen Anketi ve Meral Oruç (1993) tarafından geliştirilen Fen Bilgisi Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği olmak üzere toplam dört farklı veri toplama aracı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 11.0 istatiksel paket programı kullanılarak; ortalama, frekans, yüzde, standart sapma ve t-testi hesaplamaları yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, öğretim programında daha fazla etkinlik, görsel araç gereç, oyun, kavram haritaları, akış semaları bulunmalı; hazırlık soruları ünite kazanımlarını test etmeli; ünitenin mevcut kazanımları MEB tarafından gözden geçirilmelidir.

The present study was intended to investigate the curriculum of the unit “Reproduction and Growth” in the science course of the eigth grade in primary school education and whether there is a significant difference between this unit and the curriculum designed by the researcher for the unit in terms of the accesablity of the target behaviours. In the present study, both survey model and experimental model (pre-test and post-test with control group) have been used. First, the opinions and suggestions of 97 primary education science teachers in Bursa regarding the current curriculum was handled. Then, the curriculum designed by the researcher was applied on the sample group consisting of 70 eighth grade students. The applications, which were planned as three hours per week, lasted 9 weeks in 2004-2005 academic year spring term. The Placement Test, The Teacher Survey and The Achievement Test developed by the researcher and The Attitude Scale Towards Science Courses developed by Oruç(1993) were used as data collection instruments in the present study. In the data analysis, the SPSS 11.0 statistics program was used and mean score, frequency, percentage, standard deviation and t-test calculations through this program. Consequently, it was found that there should be more activities, visual materials, games, flow charts, maps of concepts in the curriculum; the warm-up questions should test the student achievement; and the current achievement levels should be revised by the Ministry of National Education.
