Alternatif konut modeli olarak mikro evler: Modbox örneği

Abstract

Barınma ve konut ihtiyacı, insanlık tarihi boyunca temel gereksinimlerden biri olmuştur. Ancak farklı coğrafya ve kültürlerde geliştirilen geleneksel konut çözümleri, endüstri devrimi sonrasında hızla artan kentleşme ve toplumsal dönüşümler karşısında yetersiz kalmıştır. Modernleşen toplumlarla birlikte konut yalnızca fiziksel bir barınak olmanın ötesine geçmiş, ekonomik, sosyal ve çevresel boyutlarıyla tartışılan çok yönlü bir olgu haline gelmiştir. Günümüzde küresel ölçekte yaşanan konut krizi, artan maliyetler, sınırlı arazi kaynakları ve çevresel kaygılar nedeniyle, konvansiyonel yöntemlerle üretilen konut tipolojilerine alternatif arayışları gündeme getirmiştir. Bu çalışmada, mikro evlerin düşünsel ve mimari altyapısı, tarihsel gelişim süreci, farklı ülkelerdeki uygulamaları ve örnek projeler incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, mikro evlerin sürdürülebilirlik ilkeleri doğrultusunda sunduğu çevresel, sosyal ve ekonomik fırsatlar değerlendirilmiş; alternatif bir model olarak tasarlanan ve uygulaması gerçekleştirilen “Modbox” mikro ev prototipi ayrıntılı biçimde ele alınmıştır. Böylelikle çalışma, mikro evlerin yalnızca güncel bir barınma alternatifi olmadığını, aynı zamanda konut üretiminde sürdürülebilir ve yenilikçi bir paradigma değişimine işaret ettiğini ortaya koymaktadır.

The need for housing and shelter has been one of the most fundamental requirements throughout human history. However, traditional housing solutions developed across different geographies and cultures have proven inadequate in the face of the rapid urbanization and social transformations that followed the Industrial Revolution. With the advent of modern societies, housing has gone beyond being merely a physical shelter and has evolved into a multifaceted phenomenon discussed in economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Today, the global housing crisis, driven by rising costs, limited land resources, and growing environmental concerns has brought forward the search for alternatives to conventionally produced housing typologies. In this study, the intellectual and architectural foundations of micro-houses, their historical development, international applications, and exemplary projects are examined. Moreover, the environmental, social, and economic opportunities offered by micro-houses in line with sustainability principles are evaluated; and the “Modbox” micro-house prototype, designed and implemented as an alternative model, is analyzed in detail. Thus, the study reveals that micro-houses are not only a contemporary alternative for housing but also signify a paradigm shift towards sustainability and innovative design in residential production.
