Türkiye’den toplanan Eirenis eiselti Schmidtler & Schmidtler, 1978 (Eiselt cüce yılanı) (Ophidia: Colubridae)’nin helmint faunası

Abstract

Türkiye’nin Doğu Akdeniz, Doğu Anadolu ve Güneydoğu Anadolu bölgesinden 17 farklı lokaliteden toplanmış Eirenis eiselti’ye ait müze materyali 110 konak birey (36 ♀♀, 53 ♂♂, 21 juvenil), helmint parazitleri açısından incelenmiştir. İncelenen 110 konak yılandan sadece iki konakta, iki helmint türü tespit edilmiştir. Bunlar Cestoda’dan Oochoristica tuberculata (Rudolphi, 1819) ve Nematoda’dan Ascaridae larvasıdır. Bu çalışma E. eiselti üzerinde gerçekleştirilen ilk helmintolojik çalışmadır ve teşhis edilen helmintler konak yılan türü için yeni kayıttır.

110 preserved specimens (36 ♀♀, 53 ♂♂, 21 juveniles) of Eirenis eiselti which collected from 17 different localities in the Eastern Mediterranean, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolian regions of Türkiye were examined for helminth parasites. Out of 110 snakes, only 2 helminth species were determined in 2 specimens. These are Oochoristica tuberculata (Rudolphi, 1819) from Cestoda and Ascaridae larvae from Nematoda. The present study is the first helminthological study on E. eiselti. The identified helminths are new records for the host snake.
