Bursa Emir Sultan Külliyesi ve mimari özellikleri

Abstract

Osmanlı Devleti’nin başkenti olan Bursa’da, 15. yüzyılın başlarında kurulmaya başlayan Emir Sultan Külliyesi’nin mimarî özellikleri, inşa ve onarım süreçleri, çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Osmanlı Devleti’nin ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin hemen hemen her dönemine şahitlik etmiş olan külliye, kuruluşundan itibaren toplum üzerinde derin bir etki bırakmıştır. Külliyedeki yapılar, devletin kuruluş ve yükseliş dönemlerinde aldığı rol ile topluma maddi-manevî destek sağlayarak varlığını sürdürmüştür. Nihai olarak üzerinde kurulduğu devletin çöküşü ve yeni bir devletin kuruluşu aşamasında yapılan ihmaller neticesinde birçok yapı günümüze ulaşamamıştır. Külliye, mimarinin topluma etkisini; aynı zamanda toplumun ekonomik, kültürel yapısındaki değişimlerin, karşılaştığı sorunlardaki çözüm üretme şeklinin, çağın gerekliliklerinin mimariye yansımalarını göstermesi açısından önem arz etmektedir.

The architectural features, construction, and repair processes of the Emir Sultan Complex, which began to take shape at the beginning of the 15th century in Bursa, the capital of the Ottoman Empire, constitute the subject of this study. The complex, which has witnessed almost every period of the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey, has had a profound impact on society since its establishment. The structures within the complex sustained their existence by providing support to the society, particularly during the foundation and rise of the state. Ultimately, many of its buildings have not survived to the present day due to neglect during the collapse of the state on which it was founded and the establishment of a new state. The complex is significant in demonstrating the impact of architecture on society, as well as the reflections of changes in the economic and cultural structure of the society, the ways of solving encountered problems, and the necessities of the era on architecture.
