1980 sonrası serbestleşme döneminde Türkiye'de şeker sanayii

Abstract

Bu çalışmada dünyanın önemli şeker üreticilerinden biri olan Türkiye'de şeker sektörünün Türkiye ekonomisindeki büyük önemi, 1980 serbestleşme döneminin Türk şeker sektörüne etkileri, şeker sektörünün özelleştirilme süreci, şeker sektöründe uygulanan devlet politikaları ve sektörün sorunları incelenmiştir. Aynı zamanda, dünya şeker sektörünün durumu, dünyanın en büyük şeker üreticisi ülkeleri, bu ülkelerde uygulanan politikalar ve dünya şeker sektörünün Türkiye şeker sektörüyle karşılaştırmalı durumu ortaya konmuştur. Ayrıca nişasta bazlı şeker sektörünün durumu ve bu sektörün pancar şekeri sektörüne olan olumsuz etkileri de ayrıntılarıyla belirtilmiştir.

In this study, the importance of the sugar industry in the Turkish economy, the effects of the 1980 liberalisation process on sugar industry, the privatisation of the sugar industry, government policies applied concerning the sugar industry and the problems of the sugar industry is investigated.At the same time, the situation of the world sugar industry, the biggest sugar producing countries, policies applied in those countries and a comparison of world sugar sector and Turkish sugar sector is put forth. Besides, the issue of high fructose corn syrup and negative affects of this sector on the beet sugar sector is specified.
