Eğitim Bilişim Ağında (EBA) yer alan çocuk kitaplarının değerler bakımından incelenmesi

Abstract

Değerler, bir toplumun temelini oluşturur. Değerler eğitimi önce ailede başlar ve sistemli olarak okulda devam eder. Değerler, güncellenen eğitim programlarının en temel esaslarından biridir. Bu çalışmanın konusu EBA’da yer alan ortaokul düzeyine uygun okuma kitaplarında kök değerlerin bulunma durumu ve yerli-yabancı yazarlara ait eserlerin kök değerler bakımından karşılaştırılmasıdır. Çalışmanın problem tümcesi olan “Ortaokul düzeyindeki çocuklar için EBA’da yer alan elektronik okuma kitaplarında kök değerlerin bulunma durumu nedir?” sorusu doğrultusunda dijital bir platformda yer alan kitaplardaki kök değerleri tespit etme amacı bulunmaktadır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Eserler incelenirken doküman inceleme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Okuma kitaplarına EBA’dan ulaşılmış ve dijital olarak okunarak betimsel analiz tekniğiyle çözümlenmiştir. EBA’da 57 adet ortaokul öğrencilerine uygun kitap tespit edilmiş ve incelenmiştir. Bu kitapların 46’sı yerli yazarlara ait, 11’i yabancı yazarlara aittir. Analiz sonucunda yerli eserlerde (46 eser) 980 adet 10 kök değere ait ifade yer alırken yabancı eserlerde (11 eser) ise toplam 275 adet 10 kök değere ait ifade yer almıştır. Yerli eser sayısı yabancı eser sayısının yaklaşık 4,1 katıdır. Kök değer sayısı bakımından ise yerli eserlerde bulunan kök değer sayısı yabancı eserlerde bulunan kök değer sayısının yaklaşık 3,5 katıdır. Bu durum EBA’da bulunan yabancı eserlerde kök değer sayısının yerli eserlerdeki kök değer sayısından fazla olduğunu gösterir. Kök değerlerin en çok bulunma durumu yönünden ise yerli eserlerde saygı (187), öz denetim (162), sevgi (156) şeklinde ilk üç sıralama mevcutken yabancı eserlerde öz denetim (71), saygı (62), sevgi (40) şeklindedir. Yerli ve yabancı eserlerde ilk üçte kök değerlerin sıraları değişse de aynı kök değerler vardır. İlk üç kök değerden sonraki kök değerlerin bulunma sayısının sıralaması ise değişmiştir. Bu çalışma eğitim programlarında önemli bir yere sahip olan değerleri ele almış ve Türkiye’nin önemli bir dijital eğitim platformu olan EBA’yı değerler bakımından incelemiştir. Bu yönden bundan sonraki çalışmalara kaynaklık etmesi beklenmektedir.Values form the foundation of a society. Education of values begins in the family and continues systematically in school. Values are one of the most fundamental principles of updated educational programs. The subject of this study is the presence of core values in reading books suitable for middle school level on the EIN platform and the comparison of core values in works by local and foreign authors. The problem statement of the study, "What is the presence of core values in the electronic reading books available on EIN for middle school students?" aims to identify the core values in the books on a digital platform. The study used a qualitative research method. Document analysis technique was employed while examining the works. The reading books were accessed from EIN, and they were analyzed digitally using the descriptive analysis technique. A total of 57 books suitable for middle school students were identified and examined on EIN. Forty-six of these books are by local authors, while eleven are by foreign authors. As a result of the analysis, 980 expressions related to 10 core values were found in local works (46 works), while 275 expressions related to 10 core values were found in foreign works (11 works). The number of local works is approximately four times the number of foreign works. In terms of the number of core values, the number of core values found in local works is more than three times the number found in foreign works. This situation shows that the number of core values in foreign works on EIN is higher than the number of core values in local works. In terms of the most frequently found core values, the top three in local works are respect (187), self-control (162), and love (156), while in foreign works, they are self-control (71), respect (62), and love (40). Although the order of core values in the top three varies between local and foreign works, the same core values are present. The ranking of the number of occurrences of core values after the top three has changed. This study, by addressing the values that play an important role in educational programs and examining EIN, which is a significant digital education platform in Turkey in terms of values, will serve as a reference for future studies.
