Yer seçiminde çok kriterli karar verme yöntemleri kullanılması

Abstract

Karar verme, bireyler ve organizasyonlar için hayati öneme sahip bir süreçtir. Tesis yeri seçimi gibi stratejik kararlar, kuruluşların operasyonel başarısını ve sürdürülebilirliğini doğrudan etkileyen unsurlar arasında yer alır. Bu çalışmada, tesis yeri seçimi problemini çözmek için çok kriterli karar verme (ÇKKV) yöntemleri uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, ÇKKV yöntemlerinin karar verme sürecine nasıl katkı sağladığını ve hangi alternatiflerin en uygun olduğunu belirlemektir. Kriter ağırlıklarının belirlenmesinde Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) ve Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) yöntemleri kullanılmış, alternatiflerin değerlendirilmesi için ise Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS), Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) I & II, Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) ve Elimination et Choix Traduisant la Realité (ELECTRE) gibi yöntemler uygulanmıştır. Araştırma, özellikle havaalanı gibi stratejik tesislerin yer seçiminde ÇKKV yöntemlerinin etkinliğini göstermeyi hedeflemiştir. Sonuçlar, kullanılan yöntemlerin karar vericilere kapsamlı ve tutarlı bir değerlendirme sunduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Farklı yöntemlerin sonuçları büyük ölçüde uyumlu olup, karar vericilere güvenilir bir rehberlik sunmaktadır. Çalışma, hem akademik literatüre hem de pratik uygulamalara katkı sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır.

Decision-making is a vital process for individuals and organizations, influencing the operational success and sustainability of various strategies. Strategic decisions, such as facility location selection, directly impact the long-term performance of organizations. This study addresses the facility location selection problem by utilizing multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods. The primary objective of this research is to demonstrate the contributions of MCDM methods to the decision-making process and identify the most suitable alternatives. Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) methods were employed to determine the weights of the criteria, while Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS), Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) I & II, Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) and Elimination et Choix Traduisant la Realité (ELECTRE) methods were applied to evaluate the alternatives. The study specifically aims to highlight the effectiveness of MCDM methods in the selection of strategic facilities, such as airports. The findings reveal that the applied methods provide comprehensive and consistent evaluations, offering reliable guidance to decision-makers. The results of different methods were largely compatible, ensuring a robust framework for evaluating alternatives. This research contributes to both academic literature and practical applications by demonstrating the feasibility and reliability of MCDM methods in strategic decision-making processes.
