Investigation of two-fold yarn properties produced as directly by using different systems in ring spinning

Abstract

In this study, breaking strength, unevenness and hairiness properties of two-fold wool/ polyamide blended yarns which were produced directly by using Sirospun and two different compact siro systems were investigated. According to the test results, yarns produced by both two compact siro systems had statistically better quality properties than conventional Sirospun yarns. Statistically significant differences were not obtained between the properties of yarns produced by using two different compact siro systems.
