Abstract

A new taxon, Linum hirsutum L. subsp. bozdaghense Yilmaz & Kaynak (Linaceae), is described from southwestern Anatolia, Turkey. It is similar to L. hirsutum subsp. oreocaricum P. H. Davis, from which it differs mainly in the shape and indumentum of leaves and in petal color. Diagnostic, morphological, and geographical data are discussed, and a revised key to the subspecies of L. hirsutum is given.
